The collection
The Airborne Museum holds a remarkable collection of military and cultural heritage. Uniforms, weapons, equipment and documents belonging to British, Polish and German servicemen tell the story of the Battle of Arnhem. The personal belongings, testimonies and experiences of the civilians who lived through the fighting are part of that story too.
The heritage of remembrance culture is part of the collection as well. Objects and stories representing the lasting bond between British, Polish and Dutch civilians and servicemen are considered essential to a full understanding of the historical significance of the battle.
Only a small part of our collection is on permanent display or shown in our temporary exhibitions. Through this website we want to make a larger part of the collection visible and share our knowledge.
